        Welcome to Safety Engineers Association ’s (SEA - India) official website. Here is a brief introduction to Safety Engineers Association:
        After a long felt need for an official forum for safety engineers in India, this association was formed and registered under Societies Act, during the year 2001. Initially started with a small number of members, the association has become prominent among safety engineers, regulatory authorities, safety advisory bodies, safety educational institutes / colleges, safety service providers and students undergoing safety engineering courses at different colleges / Institutions and has now grown to have a total of about 700 members, including members from different states in India.
    Quarterly journals, Professional Development Programmes, Factory Visits, Safety Professionals Meet, Safety Workshops, Special Technical Lectures and monthly Safety Alerts are some of the services extended to members.
        To promote the local activities among its members at different locations in India, Chapters of the Association were mooted out. Mumbai Chapter of SEA (India) was formed successfully and the chapter serves to the needs of members around that place. Efforts are on constitute chapters at other locations such as Delhi, Hazira, Coimbatore, Bangalore and other locations. Anna University, Chennai has come forward and started a Student Chapter of SEA (India) and the safety engineering students of the University are the members of the chapter.

Soon after the Nineteenth Anniversary celebration held on 26th Dec 2020, Annual General Body Meeting of the Safety Engineers Association was also held on virtual mode on the same day. Mr. Perumal Manoharan, President, SEA India presided over the meeting and submitted to SEA Members that the present Executive Committee will continue till such time elections can be held physically. AGM agreed to this and extended the present committee by another six months. Mr. S.M. Ravi, Secretary, SEA, presented Annual Report and Mr. M. Ravichandran, Treasurer presented Audited Report for the year and submitted Budget for next year. SEA Members attended the meeting in large numbers and extended support for the effective functioning of SEA. About 30 SEA Members participated and gave a good feedback on the programme. Click Here Due to onset of COVID 19 pandemic situation in March 2020, conducting meetings, seminars, training programmes Etc where hampered. Therefore SEA had to adopt more to online meetings called as webinars. Professional Development Presentations were made online by safety experts. In fact, such online presentations could be witnessed by more number of members across the country as they were all connected through internet. The programme was renamed as PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT WEBINARS and could be conducted on increased frequency. It was decided to conduct Two programmes each month. Webinars were held on the following topics:

Ch Inspector of Factories (Retd) – 2) Role of Managements by Dr. Sriram, CEO, Sriram Safety Management Services -3) Role of Safety Professionals by Mr. T.R. Murali on 20-09-2020."
